Mara, a 50 year old Asian elephant, was born into captivity at a work camp in India and later performed in a circus. She spent the last 25 years in a zoo enclosure in Buenos Aires. She is now living in Elephant Sanctuary Brazil  where she has thousands of acres to roam free. She was transported 1700 miles to her new home in a large box by a team of 15 keepers.
