"Take Five" Played By A Harmonica Quartet

If I were pressed to name my favourite piece of music I would have to choose The Dave Brubeck Quartet's Take Five. I love the way it keeps looping back to the opening theme. This is an interesting cover of the jazz classic.

I really like that Sachal Studios version. I remember your original post of that, since I put it on my list of favourite YouTube videos. It was nice to listen to it again.

This harmonica version was kinda meh. Maybe it was the acoustics in the room, but it just didn't sound alive.

  2. I agree, it lacked complexity.

There's some freaky weirdness going on with this post. When I click on "Older Post" at the bottom of the page, this posting doesn't show up, but when I go past it and click on "Newer Post" it does show up. Very strange.

I've tried it in two different browsers, and it happens the same in both.

It isn't just today. I commented on the post just before it that had the NIMS video of the invisible glass ball. When I checked that my comments were posted for that one, I went back via newer post, and saw the Take Five harmonica video. I was really surprised to see it, since I didn't notice it before (and that seemed odd). I thought I must have had a brain fart that day, but no, it's happening again (not the brain fart).

Maybe NIMS can come up with an explanation for invisible posts.

    1. I had the same problem viewing last week’s Sunday links . I looked for a solution but the problem seemed to rectify itself.

This Take Five harmonica posting is before the Hermitage Museum video post, and after the Invisible Glass video.

The Invisible Glass video shows at the top of an older page, so the Take Five harmonica video should show up at the bottom of the next newer page. If you're at the page with the Invisible Glass video, and click Newer Post, you see the harmonica video at the bottom of the newer page.

...... on the other hand, if you start on the latest page, and click Older Post to find the page with the harmonica video, it never shows up. The Hermitage Museum video is at the bottom of the page, and the next Older Post has the Invisible Glass video at the top.

To add to the weirdness, I wasn't able to post a comment in Safari. When I hit "Publish" it just blanks out the comment and does nothing. Very frustrating. I had to do it all over in my regular browser.
