Future Food Today

IKEA's research lab Space10 has released Future Food Today, a cookbook filled with foods of the future in sustainable recipes that keep both people and planet in mind. Some of the recipes may be new to you, like a dogless hotdog or a bug burger; others are good old kitchen classics.
Check out the first five classic dishes here.

The Dogless Hotdog (above) is made with dried and glazed baby carrots, beet and berry ketchup, mustard and turmeric cream, roasted onions, cucumber salad, and a herb salad mix. The green bun is made with spirulina — the micro-algae that contains more beta carotene than carrots, more chlorophyll than wheatgrass, and 50 times more iron than spinach.
