The Bike Paths of Europe

Roman Kyrychenko has used OpenStreetMap data to create a map showing all of Europe's cycle paths. I spent a week last year cycling through the Netherlands and Belgium which have Europe's most extensive cycling routes. We chose those countries for their flat terrain and cycling culture (there are more bicycles than people in the Netherlands).  The photo below shows us about to set off on Day 1.

  1. I read somewhere the bicycle commuters in Copenhagen log 750,000 miles a DAY.

    1. I'm not surprised. We had 30 people in our bike group and we each did 50-70 km most days.
