At Last, Disability-Inclusive Emoji


Emoji represent a range of genres from cocktails to weather, poop to penises, what's on your plate to what's on your mind. But the range wasn't wide enough. The introduction of 59 approved image-based characters seeks to make emoji more inclusive. Hearing aids, wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs and guide dogs will help redress the underrepresentation of disabled people on the emoji keyboard. It's about time.
