The Gates Of The City Of London

The City of London was once surrounded by a defensive wall, originally built by the Romans and enlarged in the middle ages. It was served by several gates, whose names are still in evidence today.

  1. Thanks! Being a city-wall-fan myself I walked the whole route when I visited London last August, so it all looks familiar to me :-).

  2. I love stuff like this, maybe why we have his & her's Tv.

  3. I've seen Aldgate, Bishopsgate and Moorgate. Will have to check out the others next time I'm in London.
