Hardwicke Knight was born in London in 1911 but emigrated to New Zealand in 1957 to take up a medical photography position. He was an eccentric polymath who claimed to have found timbers on Mount Ararat that might have been Noah’s Ark.

The photographs featured in this post are those he wanted to represent the creative and artistic side of his life rather than his professional life as a medical photographer.
