San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles (SJMQT) will unroll an array of exhibitions and events intended to spark dialogue in relation to the complicated topic of gun violence in America.
Guns: Loaded Conversations explores heritage and current cultural norms reflected in gun ownership and how personal experience with guns influences opinions.
Generation of Change: A Movement, Not a Moment displays quilts, created by teenagers and crafted with the help of adult sewing mentors, that remind the viewer that social injustices have a profound effect on all people, regardless of age.
