Look who was waiting to have a bath with me this morning

It's a conifer seed bug and they are harmless and not invasive. We're wondering if it came with the cedar shakes when we had the roof done.

  1. They have been showing up for the last 10 years (?) here in the southern tier of western NY. They come in on the laundry especially, but have other ways of getting in. I call them zombie bugs because they go dormant when it's cold and then on a warmer winter day you might find one walking around all slow and dusty!

  2. This is the first one of these that I've seen but marmorated stink bugs have been overwintering inside for the past three years. They wake in spring and I find their carcasses around the house.
