Events You Won’t See at the Winter Olympics



There are four new Winter Olympic events at the 2018 games in Pyeongchang, South Korea: big air in snowboarding, big air in freestyle skiing, mass start speedskating, and mixed doubles curling. There are also a lot more discontinued sports and events than most people realize. Snowshoeing has been a Special Olympics event since 1997 but has yet to gain the nod from the IOC although it was demonstrated at the 2002 Olympics. But have you heard of Bandy or Acroski? Me either.
