Apparently emotional support peacocks are a thing and they are not allowed to fly on United Airlines.
Dexter the peacock was not permitted to board a flight from Newark to LA although his owner had purchased a ticket for him.
I think I'd require emotional support if I had to fly across the country with a peacock as a seatmate. The tweet below says it all:

pretty bird. kinda absurd. there are times tis better to laugh than cry & these are those times. granted keeping the laughter sane rather than maniacal gets harder every day under his orangeness.
ReplyDeleteI suspect that this was done in jest although none of the stories say so. I just can't believe anyone would feel supported by a peacock, never mind expect to travel with one.
