Cuba's ambitious National Art Schools project was designed by three young artists in the wake of Castro's Revolution then abandoned, nearly forgotten, and ultimately rediscovered as a visionary architectural masterpiece. The site was included on the 2000 and 2016 World Monuments Watch and inscribed as a National Monument in 2011.
