Masanori Kono sculpted a grated radish into the shape of a polar bear and placed him in his hot pot. He posted “Polar Bear Nabe” to twitter and it went viral. He published the recipe on CookPad and added other cute daikon animals to his repertoire. His online popularity has now landed him a book deal and Grated Daikon Art, featuring pictures and recipes of his creations, is now available.
