Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man And Benny And The Jets Finally Get Official Videos



Nearly half a century after its release filmmaker Max Weiland of Somesuch has created an official video of the 1971 ballad Tiny Dancer by Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin. The video reflects on life in Los Angeles from a dozen different people, all unfolding behind the wheel of their cars.

The video is part of a collaborative project by The Cut and YouTube, which enlisted filmmakers to create official videos for three of John and Taupin's  iconic songs – “Tiny Dancer”, “Benny and the Jets”  and “Rocket Man

  1. Wow, the Tiny Dancer video is poignant. Rocket man is strange. But Benny and the Jets just clashes with everything I visualized listening to that song all these years.
    I think that was a problem in the beginning of music videos, when a song and video were released at the same time we just accepted it as the artist's vision, but when the video came later after we had made our own vision, it was harder to accept.
