The Imagine Oneworld Kimono Project believes kimono can create connections that go beyond Japan’s national borders and are building a collection of 196 kimono, each representing a different country.The Canadian design (below) features mountains, maple leaves and dogwood.
So far 55 kimono have been completed, and the organization has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help secure the finances it needs for the remaining 141.
