An international team of researchers led by Lund University archaeologists has virtually reconstructed an area of Pompeii and revealed what life was like for the people before the volcano eruption of Mount Vesuvius. An entire Pompeian city-block was scanned in 2011–2012 and the first 3D models of the town have now been completed, including a detailed reconstruction of the House of a Pompeian banker, Caecilius Iucundus.
