A Miniaturist Pays Homage to the Disappearing Buildings of NYC

California miniaturist Randy Hage has spent years creating painstakingly detailed 1/12th scale models of some of his favorite New York storefronts before they vanish forever. As tensions around gentrification in New York increase, Hage hopes his work will contribute to the discussion. Among others, Hage's miniature Manhattan includes CBGB, the Lenox Lounge and McSorley's Old Ale House. The tiny versions are replicated down to the last detail.
