Vodafone will send "self-defense umbrellas" to recipients of money sent with their M-Pesa mobile money transfer service. It comes with pictorial references of self-defense techniques and how they can be used to fight off an attacker.
Seriously, how helpful is this? Surely there must be a better way of protecting women than pictures on an umbrella.
