Lisbon’s Most Eclectic Bar

This place appeals to me. It's been decades since I visited Lisbon. Methinks it's time for another trip.

The Pavilhão Chines in Lisbon is an eccentric bar containing a collection of tens of thousands of fascinating objects housed in a former exotic grocery store-turned-drinking den.

Owner Luis Pinto Coelho, first opened the Pavilhão Chines (Chinese Pavillion) in 1986 as an antique store inside the old grocery store which had been standing since 1901. Luis found himself mingling and drinking with so many friends and clients at his shop that just a year later, he officially opened the space as his bar.

The bar prides itself on a10+ page menu of old-school cocktails mixed to perfection. I can't think of a better place to knock one back.
