Canadian-born sculptor, Carol Milne, uses the art of lost-wax casting used by foundry workers, jewellers, and sculptors to knit with glass. She knits wax strands by hand, then surrounds the knitted wax with plaster to create a mold. Once the mold has hardened, the wax is melted out of the mold, leaving an empty space where the wax pattern used to be. Chunks of glass are placed in the mold and heated to melt the glass. When the plaster is removed the knitted glass piece is revealed.

Thanks Bruce!
I would love to see these in person. I'm in love with the "What goes around comes around" piece.
