Wittgenstein: Derek Jarman's Tribute to the Philosopher

In 1993 English director, Derek Jarman, released Wittgenstein, the life story of the Austrian-British philosopher.  Karl Johnson plays the philosopher (with Clancy Chassay as his younger self) and Tilda Swinton is noted aristocrat Lady Ottoline Morrell. It's the sort of quirky film I like but I don't expect everyone to share my enthusiasm.

  1. I had to watch to see how Swinton portrayed Lady Ottoline Morrell, with whom I'm acquainted only through Virginia Woolf and her contemporaries.

  2. I stay in Bloomsbury when I'm in London and have been known to have a drink at the Lady Ottoline pub.
