Windowless Plane Prepares For Take-Off

Mr. Nag always wants the window seat when we fly. It doesn't really matter to me but I like the look of this prototype of a windowless private jet.

French agency Technicon Design has designed Ixion Windowless Jet, a private jet that is completely devoid of windows in its fuselage. In their place, screens would line the interior of the cabin, displaying footage of the panoramas outside. Should the aircraft be flying through a tedious setting, passengers could request that the scenes on display be changed to show film footage, video conferencing interfaces or various other forms of imagery.
The company says windowless aircraft weigh less, thus reducing fuel and maintenance costs. I wonder if it would work on larger carriers and, if so, would airlines pass those reduced costs on to their passengers? Naw, that's crazy thinking.
