The Glasgow Ice Cream Wars


Have you ever brawled over ice cream? I haven't. But 1980s Glasgow saw turf wars between ice cream truck operators. The Ice CreamWars culminated in the deaths of six people from the family of one van driver.
Such violence over dairy products? In reality vendors were using the sale of ice cream as a front to sell stolen goods and illegal drugs, and the violence was a byproduct related to these activities.
