Canadian Tire Ice Truck

On December 12, 2013 Canadian Tire attempted to set a world record by driving its self-propelled truck made out of more than 11,000 lbs of ice. It travelled 1.6 kilometres.
I'm impressed but I wonder why a Canadian company would not post the weight of the Ice Truck in metric.

  1. Maybe the Guinness Records people use pounds?

  2. The US, Liberia and Myanmar are the only countries that don't use the metric system. Guinness most often quotes in metric with US in brackets.
