Shades of Richie Rich!

I thought the term "child's play" meant something that is easily done. Apparently it means something quite different in posh circles.
Do you remember the comic book character, Richie Rich, the poor little rich boy who had everything money could buy but had no friends?
Wealthy Manhattan parents have discovered that money can buy companionship for their socially inept offspring. They hire $400-an-hour recreation “experts” to organize play dates for their children.
Aristotle Circle is one agency that offers this service with the goal of ensuring these maladroit munchkins don't blow their chance to gain admission to an elite private school:
Child Playgroup Practice & Coaching
Practice eases the pressure of admissions playgroups and helps to ensure positive outcomes. Work with our network of experts to assess your child’s style and help your child be his or her best self on the playdate.
My heart goes out to these children of parents who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
