Ken Zwick and Carol Hollar-Zwick bought a home in Neenah, Wisconsin in 1999. On the property was a fallout shelter dating back to Cold War days. The bunker was fully stocked with food and survival supplies in pristine condition. The local Historical Society is putting the items on display as part of an exhibit called “Take Cover Neenah! Backyard Family Fallout Shelters in Cold War America.”It's like taking a trip back in time to that politically precarious time in 1960 when people thought a nuclear holocaust was imminent. The Zwicks waited more than a decade to explore the shelter. I would have been much more curious.
A decade? Good grief, I'd have checked that out the first day. Never know when you're going to need it.
