I have never been a fan of surrealist artist Salvador Dali's work. A few years ago I drove by Figueres, Catalonia and was not the least bit tempted to stop off at the Dali Museum there. I knew that Gala was his lifelong partner and muse and had the impression that theirs was a great love story. Today I learned that it was a great deal more complicated than I thought.
