Thanks for the pictures. They were lovely. I've always wanted to go there. All the sci-fantasy books say it is the most magical place on earth! Sal's Girl
Some stunning photos you have taken! County Clare is a very special part of Ireland. Did you get a chance to visit the wonderful Medievil Banquet at Bunratty Castle? It's a great Celtic treat! If you have any other great photos to share, you can do so via our flickr page. http://goo.gl/88UtX
Yes, great photos. Where is the Like button? When last there I was disappointed to learn Waterford Crystal is no cheaper at their factory than in the States. Then a troll yelled at me across their showroom for picking up a vase for inspection. I bought it and left. Went to Tipperary Glass instead, where there were ample tours of glass blowing from 4 feet away and sales on apprentice pieces, each with Tiffany & Co labels attached. Tipperary Glass was twice the show and much more interesting.
Lovely, Marilyn!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful in the sunshine, but like it would be bone chilling when it’s windy and wet.
ReplyDeleteYou're so right. The sun is glorious but the gloom would be very depressing.
ReplyDeleteBurren, horseback riding on the former Green Road, bears in caves, Dun Aengus, Skelligs, Kinsale, and "craic is not "crack"
ReplyDeleteWe stayed very close to the Burren and did some hiking there on the nice days (which were few and far between).

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Bunratty Castle was on my list but somehow we ran out of time. Next time I'm in Clare I'll be sure not to delay.
ReplyDeletethose photos are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanne. Maybe we'll visit the north next.
ReplyDeleteYou've probably seen more Ireland than I have :)
ReplyDeleteClare is very beautiful, Joanne.

I'm told that most Waterford crystal is now made in the Czech Republic and Hungary. Tipperary glass is much less expensive than Waterford.
