When I was a very young Nag I had a giant country crush on Gram Parsons. One of the things I liked about him was his over-the-top suit embellished with amphetamines, marijuana leaves and naked women. He was one of the country elite (including Porter Wagoner, Hank Snow, Roy Rogers and Hank Williams) who wore "Nudie Suits".
Nudie Cohn was the first to mix Nashville and Hollywood, making it hip to be ostentatious and his life was as wild as his suits.
