StatCounter and Blogger aren't registering page loads for my blogs. I'm seeing fewer hits now than I had this morning. Anyone else having this problem?
Yesterday morning I checked my counter and I had a few hundred hits. Last night when I checked again I had only 95 and the hourly graph showed 0 hits after 3am yesterday. I sent a ticket in and it looks like it's been fixed today.
Stats, stats.... I used to use Active meter, until it closed down, it gave me so much information, I could see who, where, where linked from, to, visitor path, browser used,it resolved geographically as far as the user's internet service provider.
Before that I had sitemeter, though that was a little clumsier. The interesting thing was that the two missed various visitors, I could see discrepancies, and their counts never matched. Google Stats are less informative than either one. I'd love to know my visitor totals, since the blog started, but I never will.
So the stats? Well, it's google's own servers hosting blogger, so google should be the ultimate authority on visits but... Why are they so tight-lipped about the detail stuff?
I have used StatCounter for many years. I just discovered Google Stats. I am somewhat surprised at the discrepancies between the two. I'm less compulsive than I used to be about checking pageloads but I still like to know where visitors are coming from. I don't like it when things don't work.
I can see everything and can comment.
