I agree Nag. I'm so angry!! I follow a number of political blogs & I comment quite frequently...mostly U.S. politics because it's become so insane & maddening, but so weirdly interesting at the same time. This, however, is Canada. We have always strived (for the most part) to be the upholders of peoples' rights...looking after each other & holding our gov't. reps accountable. Voting is our most basic right as citizens...to have our say in how our country is run. There had better be some very extensive investigations...not ending until all the air is cleared & anyone involved has been duly charged. Sorry for the rant...I'm just really disappointed & upset.
We've had that here in the US too. Calling to remind people to vote on say, Wednesday the 5th, when the election is Tuesday the 4th, is another one. It's despicable.

Having worked for an opposition MP I could give you many examples of their disregard for people who don't agree with them.
Bruce, this type of nonsense was not part of our electoral culture until the Harperites took the helm. I'm hoping it comes back to bite them on the ass.
