Illinois abolishes death penalty

I hate two things most of all: bottled water and the death penalty. This story brings a smile to the Nag's face (creating deeper crevices).
The Guardian: "Illinois has abolished the death penalty after two decades of deliberation on the grounds that the justice system could execute innocent people by mistake, in a move that is likely to renew calls for other states to follow."

    My 9 y.o. asked me recently what "capital punishment" was. It made me realize I didn't know which states had it and which didn't. This site gave me the breakdown. http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/states-and-without-death-penalty
