There's always something nice happening in one corner or another but there are also areas that need to be completely redone.

Any captions for garden noobs? I love the purple tree, purple vines, and red tree. But what are they called?And again, you have the best blog in the internets.
Thanks Anon. Purple tree/vine is wisteria.The red tree is a flowering crab - I have two of them. I grew the wisteria from a little dead looking twig that arrived in the mail about 15 years ago. It continues to astound me every year.
