Nag, You're from Canada, for heaven's sake. Surely a little bit of ice doesn't trouble you!
One little recommendation from me.... Go to Tower Bridge, go up in the lift, to the top, and walk across the passageway from tower to tower. You won't regret it, and every time you see a picture of London, with that iconic bridge, you'll smile and say... I've walked across there. No, not on the road, up there, yes, at the top.... And of course, it's right by the Tower of London, which everybody goes to visit, so it's not even out of your way.... And the other side of the road from the Tower is St Catherine's dock, well worth a visit... Take the Docklands Light Railway to Greenwich too. Just do, go stand on the Greenwich Meridian, from where time and the world is measured. The Royal Observatory, Greenwich. Ah... and the National Maritime Museum, also at Greenwich... So much to see. Read Samuel Pepys. Have a drink at the Prospect of Whitby....
Thanks a lot for the advice. We've had very mild weather here with lots of rain until Monday when I had to return to work. We finally have snow and it's cold but not much colder than London. I'm hoping that daytime weather there will be at least 5 degrees.
