Beyond the introduction of the Ontario Child Benefit (which I'm not sure really helps those most in need) I haven't heard anything. I guess the economic crisis trumped helping the poor.
Anything trumps helping the poor. It was a tough fight to stop the Ontario government from deducting the OCB from social assistance payments.
