I pity the dogless

Life's just not that much fun without a dog A clean house and doing as you please are, frankly, overrated.

This could be my story. Mr. Nag and I have grieved together, crazily and intensely, the loss of four dogs, three of whom are buried in the back yard. After the death of each of our dear little dogs we say we will never ever have another. We yearn for a life free of canine ties and responsibilities. Alas we soon discover that a house without a dog (or two) is not a home and we are never dogless for long.
