Miriam Makeba dies
South African musical legend Miriam Makeba died this morning. Her big hit Pata Pata has been playing on the radio all day. It's such a great song and I'd post it if I hadn't done so already last May. (If you like you can listen to it here.) Instead I'll share this one of Makeba with Paul Simon at the Graceland concert in Zimbabwe:

When I was just a young girl my parents took me to see Miriam Makeba in concert in Seattle. I still remember it as an amazing experience.
