The bridges he chooses may not be the most obvious candidates for the World's Most Amazing Bridges, like San Francisco's Golden Gate bridge, Rialto bridge in Venice, Vancouver's Lion's Gate bridge, or Millau bridge in France.
I'm partial to the quaint old ones like the Rialto pictured above but there are some amazing modern feats of engineering here as well.
