Good Weekend

On Saturday Willowbank (where I am currently but soon not to be employed) hosted a decorative arts appraisal/lecture with William Kime of the Canadian Antiques Roadshow. People brought in their bits of porcelain, silver, etc. It was really informative and Bill Kime is a funny guy who generously donated his valuable time. No million dollar items identified, though, much to the chagrin of some.
Today we went to Toronto to take Nag Jr. and his sweetheart out for his birthday and to bring him gifts. He chose his favourite Turkish restaurant and we ate until we very nearly burst. He liked the Italia warmup jacket from his brother and the very good paint set and easel we brought back from France. We also took a selection of castoffs and leftovers:a blender and a smoothie cookbook, backgammon set, mum's risotto.
When we returned home I checked out my garden - what a mess! I've had to quit my job just to keep on top of it. Here are a couple of not-very-good photos of some of what's blooming today.
