Blue Delft Eyes

Blue Delft Eyes by Francine LeClercq and Ali Soltani was created for the Rijksstudio Award 2017. Inspired by a pattern from the XVII century wall decoration in the Water Gallery at Hampton Court Palace, the lens depicts a horseman riding a horse with the ornament surrounding it from the authentic plaques.

Soltani+LeClercq is a collaboration between Ali Soltani, an architect and Francine LeClercq, an artist. It was established in New York in 1992.
