R.I.P. Arbroath

Many of you will be familiar with Nothing To Do With Arbroath a blog authored by Kev who described it as "a daily mish-mash of stuff, fluff and nonsense". I am very sad to report that Kev has passed away at the age of 56 - he brought a lot of laughter to this world.

A funeral service will be held on February 13 in Derbyshire, England.

Thanks Miss C for letting us know.

RIP Kevin. A class act all the way and all the time. He will be missed.

That was terribly quick. It was about a month ago that Kevin posted he had been having health issues, if you wish to refer to cancer as an issue. I posted a couple times wishing him well and letting him know his passion and life's love, Arbroath, meant a lot to people like me who enjoy quality eclecticism. With all the silliness inherent in obsessions over inaugural crowd size and the quirks and foibles of "celebrities" Kevin's passing should drive home a lesson that some things are eminently forgettable and others are truly important.

The internet seems a little dimmer from when I saw your post. Keep well and safe Marilyn, your blog brings entertainment and information into our lives.

Regards,

Bob

I didn't know him personally, but his site has been in my RSS feed list for years. The internet is a bit less interesting without him. Rest in peace, good sir.

Such a sad news. His blog was one of the very first I started reading years ago. I'll greatly miss him.
