Cancun-based commercial photographer, designer and digital artist Felix Hernandez specializes in dream-like imagery. For The Wardrobe project he made the scale models by hand but all the effects were done on camera and shot on location.
My goal was to achieve all the effects and images for real on camera. For that, if I needed a cloudy background, instead of doing a composite, I went on location. If I needed fog, I used dry ice. If I needed a ancient ruin, I built one myself, and so on.This video shows how it was done:
