Wedgwood Jasper Heels

I knew that Wedgwood items could be found on the dining tables of those with wealth and taste but until now I'd never seen Wedgwood footwear. Mr. Edward Rayne, a famous London shoe designer, produced his “Wedgwood” collection for Spring 1959. Specially intended for the American and Canadian market, the heels have traditional Wedgwood design.

Blue jasper featuring classical figures in bas relief, is synonymous with the Wedgwood name. Below are heels made of jasper porcelain imitating Greek and Roman motifs in decoration.
