The Greene Street Project

What does the economic history of one New York City block look like? Most research on economic development takes a very broad view, focusing on a country or other relatively big region but this interactive project focuses on a single block of Greene Street, between Houston and Prince.
The Greene Street Project: A Long History of a Short Block, covers more than four hundred years of this NYC block illustrated with photographs, maps, newspaper clippings, survey data, and charts.
