High Heels That Are Less Likely To Cripple You

“It’s a stiletto. It’s never going to feel like a tennis shoe. But it doesn’t have to feel like a torture device either.”
– Thesis founder, Dolly Singh
An astronaut, an engineer, a wearable tech expert, and an orthopedist have found a way to spread pressure more evenly around the foot and help prevent some of the damage caused by regular heel-wearing.

Thesis Couture has approached high heel design as a serious engineering problem. The shoe incorporates a unique plastic shank that serves as a 'spine' and offers proper support and absorbs more of the force from the impact of walking.

The first shoes will be ready in a few months and will retail for a whopping US$925 a pair.
