The Greatest Shoe Collection Of All Time
Filipino First Lady Imelda Marcos' 2,700 shoe collection has succumbed to termites and water damage. Unfortunately mine remains intact as I put away the sandals and take out the mukluks. I am Niagara on the Lake's discount Imelda.

That's the downside of living in a riverside palace.
we don't have termites here (I think). They sound like right little shites.
That's also a downside of wooden shoes.
Wooden shoes in a riverside palace wouldn't stand a chance.
I remember seeing photos of her collection from years ago and she had racks and racks of espedrille wedges in really ugly colors. She had 9 or 10 pairs of grass green espedrilles and I couldn't understand why anyone who could afford the best would waste it on ugly shoes.
