Centauro, The Search And Rescue Robot

Centauro is a search and rescue robot that can clear debris, break through barriers, connect hoses or open a valve. It takes its name from the mythological character that’s half horse and half human. The Centaur-like robot is capable of moving through and manipulating conditions characteristic of disasters. A human operator will control the robot using a full-body telepresence suit that provides visual, auditory, and upper body haptic feedback.
