Step into someone else's skin

Clothes are a carapace, a shell in which we meet the world and so are our bodies and skin, we are judged on them all.
Los Angeles artist Sarah Sitkin's first solo exhibition, 'Bodysuits' is giving people the chance to step into someone else's skin. Sitkin's hyper-realistic replicas are molded from the skin of actual people to provoke recognition in the shared human experience.

  1. Wow, that's freaky. I wonder if there's still some embarrassment being seen what appears to be nude even when everyone knows you aren't. Also, is there an urge to explain why you chose to wear a particular suit, same sex, opposite sex? Must be a head trip.
