Epic 1970s French Space Comic Art

In the 1970s French magazines led an explosion of highly-detailed, Art Nouveau-ish, comic masterpieces. The French science fiction comics series Valérian and Laureline was created by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières - whose work influenced famous French movie directors (Luc Besson and his "Fifth Element") and even George Lucas.
