Twin Peaks was one strange show filled with cryptic dreams, backward speech, a dancing dad and damn fine cherry pie? How on earth did Mark Frost and David Lynch sell this idiosyncratic piece to a mainstream network? Lynch began by drawing a map for ABC-TV executives to provide them with an understanding of Twin Peaks, the fictional Washington town which gives the story its setting and title.
